Real stories of the situation
Of the nearly 140 million children classified as orphans, 15.1 million have lost both parents. Evidence clearly shows that the vast majority of orphans are living with a surviving parent grandparent, or other family member. 95 per cent of all orphans are over the age of five.
We are fortunate and grateful that we are able to visit children across the world and show them that there’s someone always rooting for them. We hope to be the best part of their worst days, and give them opportunities they may not usually have!
Usually the orphanages that we visit have no grass to play on or any soccer equipment to play with at all. They tend to practice barefoot with a ball made from trash tied with with string. We are excited that these children not only get the right equipment but also healthy food and clothes to make sure they can be set up for success!
Fundraising for the kids and causes
Our goal is to provide underprivileged children around the world the chance to have fun, build confidence within themselves and support their dreams. Each donation will go towards funding our soccer trips where these wonderful children can get shirts, soccer balls, a healthy meal, and a day packed with fun!
An unprecedented 68.5 million people have been forced from their homes. Among them are nearly 25.4 million refugees, over half of whom are children (UNICEF).
One person becomes displaced every 2 seconds – that’s 30 people who are newly displaced every minute (UNHCR).
Each trip we provide clothing from shoes, shorts, shirts, socks, cleats, jerseys. We provide healthy meals for the day for each child. We also leave all soccer equipment that is used during the day such as goals, soccer balls, cones, ladders and more. Finally we print out photos for the kids to remember how much fun they had that day!
Every donation counts! If this sounds like something you would like to be a part of, send us an email and we can let you know about our next trip so you can be a volunteer!
